Traditions, connected with the birth of children and their upbringing, apparently play a very important role in many cultures. Just a brief description of such rituals and traditions followed by Kazakh families, is given below. All of these rituals are usually followed by celebrations.
Shіldehana - a celebration that is associated with childbirth.
Besіkke salu, besik toy - a holiday, hosted when the newborn is put to a cradle - besik. As a rule, it is organized on the 3rd-5th day after dropout of umbilical cord of the kid.
Kyrkynan shygaru – the forty 41th day since the baby is born, a few women gather in his house and wash him, trim his hair and nails for the first time. Women who performed the custom receive their gifts appreciation, and everybody who is present at this significant event is invited to dastarkhan. By the way, numbers 3, 7, and 41 Kazakh think the most especial and lucky. Usually forty days after the birth of the baby, pours 40 spoonful of water in the bowl. This is an official tradition. Grandmothers, women, take care of it, give them a tablecloth.
The baby's abdomen is removed and wrapped in a baby's cloth. The purpose here is to keep the child from a childhood as a monument because of lack of early painting.
And Forty days later, the baby starts to bite and begin to feel the sound. That's how it comes out, and it comes from a wish that the baby's body will be healthy and healthy.
Tusau kesu - the cutting of fetters. This ceremony is performed when the baby makes his first steps. His legs are tied with the thin colorful string, which is entrusted to be cut to an energetic man having many children.
Songs and wishes for a baby to stand firmly on his feet and go along his life confidently accompany this custom. The feast follows the ceremony. In old times after ‘tusaukeser’ the child was presented with a horse and saddle. The colorful string means that in life, there happen to be not only white, but also periods, and the future zhigit must be able to overcome difficulties.
Sundetke otyrgyzu is a rite of circumcision. The ceremony is held when a boy is 5-7 years old. A big festival to which all the relatives and friends are invited is organized after this. On the occasion of Sundetke otyrgyzu guests usually make generous gifts to the hero of the occasion and his parents.
